While the past 4 weeks have been filled with lots of sleepless nights, diaper changes, and tears from her and me, it's been amazing. Watching her grow every day is such a blessing.
We'll find out tomorrow exactly how much she has grown but I'm pretty sure she is over 10 pounds at this point and getting chunkier by the day.
She loves being held, but also loves being in her snugapuppy. Tummy time actually is a breeze and she can already hold her head up like a champ. Sleeping on Tyler's chest is her favorite thing ever.
She eats like a line backer which to my disappointment has meant we've had to supplement a bottle or two a day with formula. But in my opinion a fed baby is a happy baby no matter how she is being fed. Speaking of, our breastfeeding journey only lasted two weeks. Due to issues with latching/etc I've been exclusively pumping for the past two weeks. Which has been challenging but I will do it as long as I can. I still say she is breastfed, just not directly, she is getting my milk, it just happens to come out of a bottle. She is happy and healthy and I'm a happier/less stressed momma so it's win win.
She also smiles a lot, especially in her sleep which is adorable. Another thing she does in her sleep is grunt and groan like a little pig. And while she's awake she is a happy little thing 75% of the time. But when she's mad, she lets everyone know. We call her baby eagle because when she cries she screams like a baby eagle. It's ear piercing and very scary at 2am when you're not expecting it.
Happy one month birthday little girl!!
