Well this past weekend was totally uneventful but at the same time chalk full of excitement/randomness.

I'll be honest, I don't even remember what we did on Friday night which means we were probably in bed by 10. Only to be woken up at 7am by the dogs barking for no reason other then they were awake and thought we should be too.

So what better to do at 7:30 on a Saturday morning then make some coffee, pop in Gentlemen Prefer Blondes and get to Christmas tree decorating. If you recall my tree is pink which makes a Marilyn Monroe movie marathon while decorating 100% acceptable. And seeing that we haven't even celebrated Thanksgiving yet I wouldn't dare pop in a Christmas movie (I'm not that crazy).

Since they were up, the animals decided to help me

I also thought it would be a good idea to electrocute myself, and accidentally grabbed a broken light and stabbed myself with the filament (I think thats the right word) sticking out while they were plugged in. It's something I wouldn't suggest.

After the excitement of the Christmas tree Tyler and I headed off to the vet with CC for his 8 month check up. He was not happy to be there at all. Bless his heart.

But my little boy is a solid 8.2 lbs and healthy as a horse. A mean horse... but a healthy one.

Saturday night ended with me digging though old paperwork and a spontaneous bonfire at 9pm, now that we actually have trash pick up Lord knows I'm not throwing anything with our personal info on it away. You don't know where those guys take your trash! Hello, haven't you seen Identity Theft? That ish is for real!

We then stayed up till midnight and in our tired stuper decided to let the dogs sleep in bed with us... bad idea. Zoey kept me up all night breathing in my face and running up and down the bed (how she is so fat I'll never understand, she is always moving). So yup, up early again it was!

I spent Sunday running errands and doing house work. I also got to see my furry niece and nephew.

And I started on a Christmas card wreath which I'm excited about and might actually finish (not making any promises though).

Sunday ended by watching a few episodes of Too Cute that Tyler had recorded for me and I'm not even gonna lie... I bawled my eyes out over this.

Please do yourself a favor and google "pipsqueak headbutts puppies" and watch it...

Thats when I knew it was time for bed...

Hope yall had a good weekend too! Now come on Thanksgiving! I'm ready to eat!!!

Five on Friday

How in the heck is it already Friday? But hey I'll take it! I'm ready for next week to get here!

1. Excedrin migraine.... I've wanted to drill holes in my head the past two weeks and this stuff works miracles

2. Boots.... I've been wearing boots all week and loving it. I feel like a badass wearing boots. Not really sure why because it's not like I'm wearing combat boots (which I really want a pair) but yeah. I just feel cool!

3. The fact that Tyler gave Zoey a bath this week. Dear lord she was looking a mess and he stayed home from work on Tuesday (which will be mentioned in number 3) and while home he cleaned our sweet chunk.

4. The Panthers!!!! We kicked some Patriot booty on Monday night (which is why Tyler used a sick day on Tuesday, he was up late yelling at the TV) and it was AWESOME!
And now I really need one of these shirts thanks to Steve Smith's fantastic recomendation for Aqib Talib....
5. The fact that my car has heat. It has been freezing in the mornings and I'm thankful that I can warm my car up before I have to sit in it for the hour drive to work. Don't get me wrong I LOVE winter, but sometimes the cold makes me kinda bitchy....
Have a great Friday y'all!!!!

Did you know

I discovered something that I didn't actually realize was real life

Mini cows are a real thing...

A few weeks ago at the corner store near my house there was a sign about a mini cow for sale and I thought it was a gag. Nope evidently not! And the picture above is my dream. I want a Great Pyrenees and a mini cow. In my world that would be perfection. They could be friends and run and play together.

If we ever win the lottery, we would buy a farm and I would have all the mini animals I could get my hands on. Mini horses, mini lamas, pygmy goats, mini cows, and mini donkeys. I would also have regular size horses and very large dogs along with a heard of tiny dogs like Zoey.

These tiny animals are so majestic I can't even stand it.

My Sweet Clara (picture overload)

This little bundle of joy turns 4 today

It's amazing how quickly time goes. It seems like just yesterday we were sitting in the waiting room at the hospital waiting for her to make her appearance into the world.

We celebrated her birthday yesterday and to say she is still as cute as ever is an understatement.

Happy birthday Clara! My little princess!!!

Five on Friday

Yay it's Friday!

1. 9 round gym. A few girls at work started going to this gym earlier this year when I was doing insanity. Insanity isn't happening anymore so I needed to do something, and I joined this week and I'm addicted already. I mean hello I get to work out wearing pink boxing gloves! It kicks my butt but I LOVE IT!

2. Tyler coming home after business trips. It sucks when he has to be gone, but it makes me appreciate him cuddling me in bed even more when he is home.

3. The dogs actually slept through the night last night. They had decided to start waking up every 2 hours baring/wining the past week which got old really quick. So last night we moved the dogs beds in to our room and it worked like a charm. Not a peep out of them until our alarms started going off this morning.

4. The Goldbergs. I seriously can not get enough of that show. If we could go back to the morals of the 80's my life would be complete. When kids were blamed/punished for their own mistakes instead of being babied and workout gear included neon headbands.  Perfection.

5. Mexican take out for dinner tonight. I'm really excited.... like REALLY excited.

Have a great weekend guys!!!

Weekend recap

This weekend was pretty entertaining and as usual I didn't take any good pictures. Oh well I'll learn one day (maybe).

Saturday was my sister in laws birthday so she came down from VA to party it up in Charlotte. So in classic Foley tradition we bar hopped down Montford. Started at Angry Ales (no pictures because I was too focused on stuffing my face) where I ran in to a friend I haven't seen in years! The fact that my friends are parents blows my mind. It's crazy that we are actually adults now.

After Angrys it was on to Brazwells for tequila shots and Mimosas!

The fact that I used to work right by this deck makes me sad, I miss working in  that area, I especially miss drunk girls wandering in to Palm Beach on Saturday nights after realizing how pale they looked and requesting spray tans. Hilarious.

It was then on to Moose Head where we ran into some of Tyler's friends from Queens, which is always fun. Then we ended the night at Nom Nom for some grub. And that's when the funniest thing happened.

We had been picking on Tyler all day saying he looked like Vin Diesel because of his outfit and as we were walking out of dinner this random guy sitting at the bar goes "hey man! Has anyone told you that you look like Vin Diesel? That's awesome man"

I died.

Literally about fell on the ground laughing. Tyler was trying not to smile but our point was totally proven! I am married to a sexy man beast that looks like Vin Diesel!

I mean right? Yes Tyler is taller, but dude has it going on!

And this is how "Vin" ended his weekend

Cuddled with his dogs...

How was your weekend?

Sunday Social Turkey Day Style

Sunday Social

It's Sunday which means my favorite link up! Sunday Social! And this week it's about my favorite holiday Thanksgiving!
Fall is my favorite season because of the weather, the leaves changing and Thanksgiving. It's a holiday based around food. Of course that means it's my favorite. This chick luuuuuvs to eat.

1. Favorite Thanksgiving Memory
My favorite memory from thanksgiving 03. It was the first year I got to drive to my aunts house on my own in MY first car that I had gotten the day before. I felt like such a grown up and for once wasnt late since I didn't have to wait on my parents to get ready.

2. Favorite Thanksgiving Food
Green bean casserole. You know us white people love some casseroles.

3. What is a Thanksgiving Tradition you and your family have?
My aunt Maggie hosts Thanksgiving at her house every year and it's amazing. We hang out, eat a ton of food, the guys watch football, and then we play some ridiculous game. The past few years it's been RLC. If you haven't played you need to. You can win money and it's awesome.
Another tradition my family has is going to a park near my parents house and throwing a AA chip in the creek for my aunt Julie. She passed away 19 years ago this year and Thanksgiving was her AA birthday.  So we celebrate her life every Thanksgiving by celebrating her sobriety birthday

At the park last year, praying before tossing the chip into the creek

4. Show us a favorite Thanksgiving picture(or 5) from years past
Cousin pictures from Thanksgiving are always my favorite.

5. What are you most looking forward to about this Thanksgiving?
THe fact that my Emily will be here for Thanksgiving is making me freak out. She is my cousin from California who goes to school in Vermont and usually doesnt get to visit until New Years so the fact that she will be here for Thanksgiving is like the best thing ever!
