In my last post about the furbabies I mentioned that we coupon
So i decided to get you a little insight how this works for us.

My coupon obsession started about a year ago
I bought a cute binder and started buying 4 papers every week
Well we didnt actually really start to coupon until like March of this year
It was more of just a OCD thing for me before that.
I loved the buying the papers, cutting and organizing but I was/am HORRIBLE at matching the coupons with the sale adds.
I just cant do it!
Luckily though Tyler stepped in and is fantastic at working the sale adds!
And I hate going to the grocery store with a passion so now our usual Sunday is Tyler gets up with the dogs then goes to the grocery store alone (which I'm fine with and so is he because he doesnt have to deal with me flipping out in the checkout line because of how much stuff we have in our cart)

So today's example of Hubby's couponing skills
He got all of this for $59
It doesnt look like a lot but its all name brand stuff
4 Grands Biscuits
2 cans of tuna
2 Johnsonville brats
1 Johnsonville sausage
4 chicken breasts
2 packs of cheese
2 Jimmy Dean sausage
4 12 packs of Coke products
4 Cup of Noodles
4 Ramen Noodles
2 boxes of Grape Nuts
hot dog buns
2 dozen large eggs
2 Milos Kitchen dog treats
1 can Hormel tamales

Before sale items/coupons the total was $108, so he saved $50! In my book thats awesome.
Yes it looks like a random assortment of food but we have our fridge/pantry stocked so we basically just buy stuff thats on sale every week. When we first started couponing we were spending $200 every other week but now we spend between $50-$100 every other week normally just buying the essentials and then stuff that's on sale.

So far this year (well like I said since like March) we've saved $1425, and also since we shop at Bi-Lo we get fuel perks (right now we have .15 off every gallon of gas) which is awesome.
And also that doesn't count the money we save going to Walmart/CVS for stuff like shampoo, face wash ect.

So basically Couponing is totally worth it if you're willing to put in some effort. We're not crazy coupon people though! Don't get that idea. I spend maybe 45 minuets on Sunday's cutting and sorting and then Tyler spends maybe 15 minuets getting our shopping list together and then tops an hour at the grocery store. But in my opinion 2 hours of effort is totally worth saving roughly half off our grocery bill every time we Tyler goes shopping!!

Whoa this was an intense boring post...
